COVID-19The College of Massage Therapist of Ontario and the Ministry of Health have given us the green light to gradually return to work and re-open the clinic. Our Regulatory College, the College Of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO), is not expecting RMTs to return to practice if they do not feel it is appropriate or safe to do so. For this gradual restart, we are being encouraged to limit the number of in-person visits by prioritizing clients with essential care needs. This means, treating clients with more serious needs first. Our priority as Massage Therapists is the health and safety of our clients and to ensure that the benefits of treatment outweigh the risks (including the risk of COVID-19).
Please be assured that our clinic has met all the requirements and are in compliance with the Ministry of Health and our Regulatory College’s practice guidelines to reopen. What to expect at your next appointment during COVID-19 restrictions*PPE: Patients are required to wear a mask at all times. We ask that you arrive wearing your own mask. If you do not have a mask you will be provided with one for a fee of $5.00. If you have any concerns about wearing a mask, please contact your RMT in advance.

At the time of booking - Patient Prescreening, and prior to entering our clinic on the day of your appointment, you will be asked a series of COVID-19 related questions to ensure that our clientele and our staff’s health remains our highest priority.
COVID-19 Risk Waiver- You will be asked to sign prior to receiving your treatment **The Ministry of Health has required the implementation of physical distancing measures in all public settings. For this reason, we have decided to eliminate the usage of our waiting room** When you arrive for your appointment, we ask that you please remain in your vehicle or outside the clinic, (there may be an occasion where there is someone else waiting outside the clinic, at which time we ask that you be mindful of physical distancing). At the approximate time of your booking your therapist will contact you and once again ask the COVID-19 prevention and screening questions before entering the clinic. *Note: we recommend you also bring your own water as we will not provide any at this time. The next step: If your therapist agrees, you will then be asked to put on your mask prior to entering the clinic. Once in the clinic you will be shown where you can disinfect your hands. *We ask that you arrive wearing your own mask. If necessary, a disposable mask can be made available to you for a fee of $5.00 During your appointmentThe therapist will lead you into the treatment room, opening and closing the door for you. Masks will be worn by you and your therapist for the entire time of your treatment. If you have a health condition that makes wearing a mask difficult, your RMT will use their professional judgement to assess the risks of continuing a treatment. *Talking will be kept to a minimum.
At the end of your appointmentWhen you are redressed, we ask that you open the door of your treatment room, and wait for your therapist to re-enter. At this time, you will have the opportunity to pay for your appointment and re-book your next one. Your therapist will then walk you to the front door where you can then disinfect your hands prior to leaving the clinic.
