Massage Therapy can help fend off viruses?
We're right in the beginning of cold and flu season in Ontario. The kids are back to school, central ventilation and heating systems are turned back on and we begin to spend more time indoors whether at work or play. All of these changes bring us closer together and into smaller and more commonly used spaces. This means more direct contact with others and their germs.
There are several things we can all do to help prevent the spread of disease and illness, most of which are very simple and easy to follow:
Wash your hands often using soap and water or a water based sanitizer. Before and after eating or preparing food, after you cough or sneeze, after touching common public objects (grocery carts, public doorways/handrails, money etc) and after using the washroom are some examples.
Eat a healthy, well balanced diet rich in a variety of fruits and vegetables.
Get plenty of rest and drink plenty of water.
